Where have all the lightweights gone?

I think the exhaust on this car is a tremendous let-down. You think of the numbers on paper: 16 cylinders, 1000HP, 4 turbos. Then you hear it, and it definitely doesn't add up to what anyone was expecting. It doesn't sound bad (not great, either), but it definitely doesn't match the car.

I second the Viper. Such a let-down!

+1

I'm surprised they haven't burned the place down yet.

Looks like it was a bit out of its element...

What are your plans for the return trip?

Mmm I miss me some Bojangle's. The steak sandwiches on their biscuits are fantastic, too!

So, BMW, tell me again...Why should I buy your $35-40k early 2000's Hyundai Elantra?

Looks like a joyous Zoidberg to me.

This thing is a piece of garbage. I remember hearing stories about a couple having < 10mi on the clock, and the engine blew. Mercedes took no responsibility and were sued in the process.

My Litmus test between spirited, enthusiastic driving and driving like a douche nozzle is pretty simple: Is the driver's actions putting others in harm's way or causing others' annoyance?

Shouldn't "My Humps" be in quotes? It's a song title, not an entire album (thankfully). #corrections

So...Give or take 2-3 laps if raced in LeMons?

Because Racewagon.

I never knew such a thing existed. That looks fantastic!

Of course, we have to hear the "What about Canada?" speech once again. *yawn* Carry on...

Any sort of sport played on a rainy pitch instantly gets more interesting. That was definitely not an exception. Well done!

I've hated every time I had to drive one before, and I don't see that happening anytime soon. Have fun defending a bloated, outdated, numb grampa's car. I'll be waiting for the SS.

After sitting in it, and driving previous Impalas, I'll pass on driving it. While their competitors are going the AWD/RWD route, GM stays archaic. Until the SS becomes the actual Impala, it will still remain the car of choice for rental fleets.
