Oh, that’s for sure part of it. A lot of con artists in many professions rely on the embarrassment factor to keep their marks from tipping off the next marks. And it works.  But when a person ends up hospitalized as a result, the crippling medical bills ought to force a lot of them to sue just as a matter of survival.

Exactly my reaction reading that line. I guess he’s not hideous, but I don’t find him particularly attractive either. 

It’s usually glaringly obvious when they’ve dubbed someone else’s singing voice over another actor. There are enough actors who can sing well, so why not just hire someone who can do the whole job, instead of trying to patch over half a performance?

Depressing fact that never gets less depressing: Morena didn’t work for like seven years after her Academy Award win for her role in WSS. Kept getting “maid” and “exotic wench #2” roles offered to her (and turning them down) til she took a hiatus from film work.

I had been looking forward to Spielberg’s version of WSS... until I heard about the casting. Ansel Elgort is the picture you get when you search “blandness in human form.” He was the worst part of “Baby Driver.” And “The Goldfinch.”

There is no denying that Elgort is conventionally attractive

He’s rewarded in Hollywood because his father has been a Vogue photographer for ages and his mother is an opera director. His siblings are also in entertainment. He is the very definition of nepotism.
