Ron Swanson’s stance would be that a man only needs a bow & arrow and only to hunt for his meat. He can defend himself with his bare hands.

It doesn’t bother me at all, as long as you don’t frame it as having those experiences and anatomical parts being necessary to being a woman. Or as their absence excluding you from the Nation of Woman. We may have gotten here through a different path, but we’re here now.

Oh certainly! You ask 10 different women about what it means to be a woman and you’ll get 10 different answers. Ask women from different cultures and you’ll get even more diverse answers.

It’s ok if you’re female and you have a uterus and you’re proud of it, but it isn’t what makes you female. Its just an organ that some people have and some people dont. If that makes sense.

This may not make much sense but here is my thought. I was assigned female at birth, so I have “female” anatomy, but I’m not female, I’m nonbinary. I get a feeling of unease when I see uterus or breasts gendered as “female”, because men, women, and gender nonconforming people can have a uterus and/or breasts.

Oh yes, for sure. And I hope I didn’t come across as thinking that certain parts or configurations of parts are the sum total or even necessary for womanhood. Because I don’t at all.

Not all women, regardless of their trans status have the same organs. There are a ton of chromosomal abnormalities (... did... did I spell chromosomal correctly but I can’t spell necessary to save my life!?) that cause a wide variety of developmental changes. Some women aren’t born with ovaries, some without wombs,

I don’t get the pink pussy hat controversy. I think about it too though & try to understand it.

This is an interesting question and one I don’t have an answer for. I’m not especially tied to memes, or whatever, and put the safety of trans folks above my sharing of memes. But I do hear you on the tension of how to understand womanhood in a way that is inclusive to all who identify as women while also recognizing

My last few days living at the homeless hostel, I’m so looking forward to finally moving into my own home, it’s been a long journey. I look back to the time I was laying on the floor crying, unable to breathe, wishing the pain would end. I’m so pleased that my friend found me after my overdose, back then I never

Catalina should be coming home sometime in the next month. She’s officially not receiving any care other than her CPAP and encouraging oral feedings, so the doctor said she can get home care for a couple months. We’re now arranging things with the insurance company.

Happy Saturday folks!!! I’m a sometimes commentor, big time star everything haha but I wanted to share that yesterday my mom passed her citizenship interview and exam! I hope everyone is having a great weekend!

To be fair, I get where they’re coming from. When my partner and I get married, we’re not going to be doing it for the enormous financial benefits, legal benefits or out of sheer love. We’ve decided we’re going to get married specifically so we can oppress the freedoms of Christian bakers. That’s just how we roll.

I grew up in the 1980s. We were Democrats and pro-choice, but we were also extremely devout, straight-laced Christians. My parents did not permit us to watch MTV for various reasons—partly because my mother was a classically-trained musician who considered pop music to be trash, partly because they felt MTV was

One piece of advice that I give people about to get married is that if there is a chore that neither one of you want to do, hire somebody else to do it rather than argue about it for years. There are cleaning ladies who have saved more marriages than many a relationship expert.

I think the ‘grass is greener’ thing is a big one. People seem to let the perfect be the enemy of the good and seem willing throw away a great relationship over very little. No partnership or person is perfect, like you said.

I love Tahani so much.

Side note: I might legit be into Tahani.
