my guard is up too but I kind of assumed that a better option would be to donate to a homeless shelter. I really don’t like giving out cash... just doesnt seem smart.

thank you, I am. it took some time, but I learned a lot from the experience and can honestly say I’m a better person because of it. :D

Yeah, it’s not a good idea. I am totally in favor of handing people a dollar, or more if we have it on hand and can spare it, when we’re sure it’s safe to do so. But some caution is always in order, especially for women.

I did! But my best friend was a hairdresser, so she took that as a hint that whenever she got bored, she’d cut or dye my hair. I’m lucky to have very thick hair, very fast growing hair and a very good hairdresser. I completely rolled with the change, and I love my hair short.

Hah, I did that once. Went from hip length curly brown hair to a bleached white, ear length bob. I made cookies and brought them to work and any time anyone started to freak out I was all “Oh, hey, I guess you heard I brought cookies” and pretended like I didn’t change my hair.

I’m perpetually grey, but good people! I usually lurk SNS because my depression has been an ass lately and telling me noone cares about what I have to say. Boo. Bad brain.

Short hair is so great! Scandalizing people is fun too!

Ugh, the whole “mom hair” thing is so annoying. I met one of my c0-worker’s kids for the first time shortly after I got my pixie cut. My co-worker later told me that her daughter, who was 12 at the time, said my hair made me look like a “cool rocker chick.” Still one of the best compliments I think I’ve ever received.

Congrats! I pixied my hair two years ago and I still love it, doubt I’ll ever really grow it out. I have a round moon-pie face even when I’m at my skinniest, and seriously doubted how I’d look with a pixie, but I think it’s all about finding the right cut. I was surprised by how many people loved it, including men.

Want pics also. I have been working up the nerve to do the same for a year. My 4 year old just got a pixie cut and I’m so jealous of her hair. Ha. But I have curls too and I'm not sure what they'll do.

I just try to live at a baseline “not an asshole.” And the fact that I’m still in love with this guy means I probably should avoid all interaction.

So I got a text from an unknown (to me) 917-area code number at 5.40AM today. “Catastrophic attempt at a colonoscopy yesterday. Will email details.”

I got a fitbit and it’s been inspiring me to exercise. It’s fun to look at my stats and badges I’ve earned. I’ve noticed that I have more energy and am able to do more physically.

You guys! My kitten came home! I love him desperately already. I opened my facebook and the first thing I saw was an essay by a blogger I followed who had to put her dog down. So now my heart is already broken. I actually don’t really like cats and I LOVE dogs, so I thought if I had a cat I wouldn’t get that attached.…

Okay, cats time! We picked up fosters yesterday. A mom and SIX kittens. So I have ten cats and two dogs for the next few weeks. It is chaos and I love it.
