The lenses in the head set lets your eyes focus on “infinity” when using it. Different “facial interfaces” as they call them (or foam pads if you’re not into marketing speak) allows you to use glasses with the headset.

That part of the puzzle I haven’t really paid all that much attention to I’m afraid. I imagine it will be a mix of both. And when it comes down to it, it’s up to the developers to include support for both platforms and make sure they don’t use features only available on one platform.
My point was that, in my mind, waiting 20 minutes for a download isn’t even worth mentioning. Which is why I was snarky about it.
I’d say wait a few weeks until both the Vive and Rift are out there in more people’s hands. That will give you a bigger sample size to base your decision on.
“this process is hardly simple. There’s a lot of stuff in this box”
I see. Reading through it I do seem to remember seeing something like that once upon a time. Possibly for car races or something where the sheet was rolled up and stuffed in a “display” and you turned a dial to advance it forward.
This is probably a dumb question, but why do you want the odometer mostly when you’re in unfamiliar places? Do you use it to navigate somehow?
Pit stains?
Nice, congrats :) I probably have another month or two to wait unfortunately. I got screwed by first not being able to load the page at all and then being unable to charge my card. Oh well, I still have my DK1.... :P
Gloves != clean
I’m fairly sure the Kickstarter ones are supposed to be first in line. That said, it might arrive a few days later than “normal” pre-orders due to the time it takes to ship it to your house.
So only those who speak English well are capable of producing a good product then?
I think my favourite moment of complete idiocy was when they were trying to dislodge a beached boat by starting the fucking motor as the prop was resting on rocks.
I miss that show. It was fucking hilarious to watch.
I thought snapchat was all about sending nudes so I was expecting tips on how to make your weiner look bigger.
I guess what I don’t understand is, what secret does not need to be revealed because of that picture?
I feel dumb. I don’t get that picture at all. English isn’t my first language but to my knowledge “spilling the beans” is about admitting to something, or exposing something secret. What does it even mean in this context?
It also helps if you aren’t completely incompetent and actually put it together properly.
Sounds like you’ve never driven out in wooded areas at night to me. Those things can easily stand still in a ditch and look like a bush (if you even see it) until they suddenly jump out into the road.
