And even with those durability issues, it’s rare that it’s the actual motor inside them that gives up. And we can add the fans in our computers as well. A brushless motor like this will run “forever”. And in this case it will only be turned on for a few hours at a time at most compared to how long harddrives are left

They’re two completely different technologies (and there’s two different technologies at play on Kinect vs Kinect2 as well. Structured light vs Time of flight), you can’t compare them like that.

You can use one of the controllers to map out the space you want to play in. They’re hinting at being able to automate this in the future but they haven’t given any details on it.

It does not REQUIRE that much space. This is a misconception that doesn’t seem to want to go away.

I remember having a rifle back when I was a kid that could shoot two suction cup arrows AT THE SAME TIME! Now that was the shit.

You don’t have to use the latest crap. I’m still on 1.6 which is almost 10 years old now. Despite its age it still works great and it’s tiny like it’s supposed to be (170kB).

Good thing that they are detachable then.

So you’ve already got the tech details they’re set to reveal next week?

Also magic, mustn’t forget that it’s magic.

It’s focused at “infinity” so your eyes are relaxed. You don’t have to strain your eyes at all.

So basically like pretty much all math you did in school? That’s what it always felt like to me anyway :)

Those things are far more common than the get-down-on-the-floor-kind here in Sweden. Not sure why anyone would buy anything else :)

Give it 10-15 years and then we can start looking at the data. Changes over two-three years are insignificant. This years winter was nothing compared to a couple of years ago, and a couple of years before that it was the same story as well.
