I don't envy you. I think it's bad where I live and at least I get maybe 3-4 hours of darkness. The sun goes "down" at around 22:00 and it's back up at 03:00 during the worst period. But it just barely dips beyond the horizon so the true dark period is rather short.

They removed the movement mechanics from 2k4 (double and dodge jumping) so if you don't feel like being grounded you wont like it.

It changes the experience dramatically. Just imagining it you wouldn't think so but if you get the chance to try it out, please do. It's one of those things that is difficult to describe.

The optics are set up so that the eye is focused on "infinity" in these HMDs though. I have the Oculus DK1 and besides the low resolution I don't find myself straining to focus at all, the eyes feel relaxed when wearing it.
