I've had my current phone for over a year (an HTC Desire S for those interested) without a case and it still looks pristine. You know why? Because I'm not a klutz that drops it onto pavement every other day or stupid enough to keep it in a pocket full of dirt or sharp objects.

No, it's still faster even when extruding. And the reason I posted the vid is because you were talking about having to scale up to gain speed. That video shows that high speed is very possible without scaling up the mechanics.
