If you apply that to a lot of tv shows you miss out on a lot of gold that gets sifted further in. Bojack and Brookyn Nine Nine for example. Massively shaky starts.

It took me a good few episodes to warm to B99. A friend introduced me and I remember saying, “Eh I’m not sure I’m into this. I don’t like where this Rosa and Boyle thing is going either, it’s cliche as hell”.

I find that it makes me value their content less too. They are still writing at a level of quality that is far and away above the rest of the Gawker-corpse collective they’ve been lumped in with, but because it’s jammed awkwardly into this hideously unprofessional layout, I’m finding that my mind is just not absorbing

Why though? Why do you need this vanilla guy in Aladdin? Seriously.

I wish I didn’t find Megyn Kelly so physically attractive. She is a total waste of space as a person.

I’m always so confused when people trash the new movies and then say that Tokyo Drift was the best and their favorite. I’m disqualifying you from having an opinion worth listening to on this series if you think it peaked with Tokyo fucking Drift.

Fully on board with this being a Furiosa origin story. Her real world pre-apocalypse job was super cyber terrorist. Max used to be a cop. Makes sense!

And hell yeah, that trailer was like a shot of adrenaline to the damn heart!!

Congrats on being a (I guess?) adult woman with the maturity level a toddler would be embarrassed by. When you’ve picked yourself off the floor, maybe work on not being a grade-A a*shole yourself before ragging on anyone else. Best of luck to you.

*sigh* Well if that’s really what you’re taking from the point I was making, sure. I’m glad you two could find each other for some vindication in your horrible ideas.

Hi, I’m also a non-white woman, but thank you for assuming I wasn’t based on nothing. So this is my lane. Not that I needed to be in my lane to point out that agism and a woman’s worth being reduced to looks is something every woman has got to deal with and something you’re happy to leverage when you’re talking about

I honestly could care less if you thought she was the worst actress in the world and didn’t deserve any roles. Don’t be juvenile and try and throw that at me to make out I only care about petty things when that’s not what we’re talking about here. I don’t care what you think about one actress over another one way,

I saw the photo of Ellen DeGeneres and mistook Faith Hill for Portia de Rossi for a second. So I thought they’d printed a story about Portia having an affair with Tim McGraw and that would have been too much, even for Star!

I follow a lot of actresses and actors careers very closely, mostly because I follow a lot about the movie industry very closely. Her career in particular also overlaps a lot with my interests in sexism in the industry, the types of roles she’s courted and people she’s worked with, as well as animal welfare and aid

Definitely! Yes! South Africa is full of so many amazing things and talented, compassionate people. My clumsy phrasing, because I am proud too, but I just meant things that South Africa tends to get most attention for on the world-stage, which usually ends up being a lot of negative. Hugely corrupt politicians, racism

When will this nightmare end for poor Kesha? I can’t believe the coals she is being raked over just to get out of this contract and the vitriol and abuse she’s had to put up with to even attempt it.
It’s actually making me feel sick to think about how much I looked down on Kesha (or Ke$ha as it was) several years ago,

I’m not defending Penn!! Penn is an asshole for sure. Even if he didn’t hurt Madonna, there’s still that terrible El Chapo thing. I’m saying the women he’s dated don’t take the blame for him being an asshole.

It’s the exact same thing. You’re looking at an attractive woman complaining about how a sexist system has treated her and devalued her for her looks and shrugged and said “What does she have to complain about”. It’s not entitled to demand respect and consideration for talent and complain when it’s not forthcoming.

She’

Yeah, she comes across so articulate and compassionate. I really love that interview too. And for me it’s nice to see someone from my home country, which doesn’t have a lot of famously good things to put its name to, produce someone who not only made it big in the US, but still reaches back home to help end some of

It’s not the job of any actress to be “chill” in order to placate a testy male co-star. It’s not the job of any director to cast an actress based on how “chill” she is because he/she knows their male actor might not be so chill.
So they fought a bit of set, who cares? Mad Max probably wouldn’t have been as tense and

Oh god yeah. I’ve been watching Charlize’s movies since I was a teen, but I had no idea how off-the-charts fucked up her past was. I don’t think I would ever have left therapy if I was her.
