I was a senior at Auburn in 2002/03 when SACS — Auburn’s accreditation org — placed the university on probation. The reason? They decided that some board of trustees members had too much power in the closing of an academic department and the hiring/firing of the football coach.

Jesus Christ.

This wideout corps is jazzed! (Don’t show them the QB depth chart, it’ll break their hearts.)

And he didn’t actually stick up for Obama. He said he wasn’t a Muslim or Arab (can’t remember his exact phrasing) and that he was a decent man. Muslim or Arab men and women can be decent and have every right to run for president.

And just because he stuck up for Obama one time doesn’t negate any of the other shit he did.

I tend to agree with the substance of the criticism (to be clear: not the name-calling or other kindergarten tactics.) It is a fact: some people are generally sad whenever anyone dies: their family, their friends, people who benefitted from them in some way. That being said, I don’t see the point of offering more than

THE RIGHT: These Leftists are rising in popularity. We must tear them down!

Thank you. All this pearl-clutching over “the body’s not even cold yet!” needs to stop. Why do we instantly owe people respect just because they’re dead? And I’m not even someone who really hates on McCain, though it sounds like he did a lot of other shitty stuff I didn’t remember/hear about. Let’s all just be honest a

This is awfully whiny and hollow coming from someone not directly related to the recently deceased. The guy did a lot of stuff, and much of it was on a really big public stage and done to millions of people, and much of that was harmful.

The fact that he was a shitty soldier is one of his only redeeming qualities.

Blest’s obituary will be labelled a “hit piece” by fanboys and flagwavers, but it’s accurate and not inflammatory. It’s certainly kinder than I would have been.

Right?  I heard the news, and my first thought was “Oh, that asshole is dead.”

He was a terrible soldier, who was incredibly brave.

Fuck John McCain.

Actual if there is a squadron, it’s a squadron of white guys who play the victim card whenever they get called out

And even if Ogawa was genuinely amused by Holland’s antics in private, they should both know better than to pull that shit in public. (Or Ogawa has had it with Holland’s shit and decided to let Holland set his own dick on fire on TV).

There is a lot more to that then you realize. Fear really IS much easier to sustain - look at the fact that crime and murder rates are near their lowest point since they began to be measured in the mid-20th century, and yet if you flip on Faux News, an MS-13 member is probably outside your home RIGHT NOW.

Whereas if

The oldest and strongest emotion of mankind is fear, and the oldest and strongest kind of fear is fear of the unknown.” HPLovecraft, notable racist.

Hamilton, unless I missed it, I haven’t seen a single post from you about the new Poor People’s Campaign. They get almost zero media coverage (gee, I can’t imagine why), so it would be nice if they got more exposure.

Real talk: I’d actually like science to explain how a pile of shit became sentient and named itself Dinesh D’Souza.
