Like everyone else on the planet, I will be playing the inventory management simulator: Fallout 4. This is my first foray into the Fallout universe and I am enjoying most aspects of the game. The combat will take some getting used to (I keep forgetting about locking on with VATS), but the game is enjoyable right now.

As someone whom has never played a Fallout game, can you go into this blind or will you be missing out on some major story elements? Follow-up, is it worth it to go back and get Fallout 3 and/or New Vegas before playing this?
