I don’t disagree that the whole thing is fascinating but as you said the pricing structure will be key.  The fee plus $60 a game (no reason to believe this will change) could easily be more than what people now spend on consoles.

I don’t know if this is the time for an idea like this, but it is indeed the future. Once the majority of internet users can stream reliably, hardware is dead, and I can’t say I’ll disagree with that. I can see if someone thinks this is 10 years too early, but it’s going to happen sooner or later.

I play retro games and have a sizable but modest collection compared to the most hardcore of enthusiasts. I did not know this. I don’t have a nostalgic attachment to Nintendo though. Oh well.

This somewhat implies that they EA actually cares if the game isn’t perfect and 100% ready to launch. Destiny sold a ton, so the suits said “make us a Destiny and release it while the trend is definitely still in”. That’s all this is.

Same.  I thought it was an average game that gets propped up because of the Bioshock name and the “deep” ending.

You and the article are both wrong. There was a slight push back from Democrats, but not the “blue wave” that some people expected.  All in all it was noteworthy but nothing crazy for either side as far as large swings of power.

Right there with you. The bloated.....well, everything......in that game just mystifies me. Glad people had fun with it, but it almost ruined my love for the first game.

Same here. I played through it with a smile on my face, but it’s basically an updated version of Arkham City but with Spider-Man. Incredibly well done, but it felt too unoriginal in some ways, and there’s a decent amount of fluff in the quests.

It’s just like listening to the radio except you have thousands of choices and pick exactly what you want.
