They’re doing MA residents a favor so they don’t self incriminate. I’d rather have short interactions with cops rather than long ones with them trying to be friendly and linger longer than they should during traffic stops.

Contrary to what people say about putting the keys on the dash (or dropping them on ground for motorcycle riders),

Cops are people and they’re prone to mood swings and emotion. It’s best to just give them your license and insurance, shut up, not admit guilt, and move on. When you get home, hire a lawyer and let him take care of it. Being nice and admitting guilt only to get a ticket anyway makes that lawyer’s job harder, especially

Showing up for court. Most times they’re willing to reduce the traffic violation to get the hearing over with quickly.

Radar Detectors are so much better than they were decades ago. When I see Ka band going off, I will see a cop soon enough. The only false alerts I get are from bank auto sliding doors, and I can flag that on my RD so that it doesn’t go off when I drive through that location(or locations) again. My RD has gotten me out

Oral sex is my go-to.

Here’s what the ACLU has to say about your rights, and how to use them during traffic stops:

Shut up, don’t admit guilt, and then hire a lawyer. Get it downgraded to a non-moving violation, pay the fines and fees, and move on with life.

Avoid one to begin with.. Waze, radar detector, and years of experience avoiding police and knowing where they hang out.

Some cops view this as an affront to their authority and will PIT/TVI the “offender” (if not worse), so it really requires context and situational awareness.

Gonna throw this one out there: try being a white man.

That judge is both a hero and comically lazy.

Take the ticket, admit nothing, then call a lawyer. Preferably TicketClinic if it’s available in your area. I know it’s just anecdotal, but I have a 100% success rate with this method and have had several tickets over the years.... but your mileage may vary.

I live in MA, so our interactions with cops are usually very short.

Called ticket clinic and they took care of it lol still expensive, but not as much as a speeding ticket

Hire a lawyer. They can either get you off, or if your state has some method of setting aside a ticket as long as you don’t get another one in X months they can get that done. BTDT in my mispent youth.

I’ve paid none out of about 15 tickets, although 1 my tag expired so I bought a new one, dismissed, otherwise I plead not guilty, a court date is set, the cop is to busy to show up, dismissed... oh if you go the day and scout out and see the cop then you call in and ask for a court extension, and keep playing the game

This I can get behind. The C8 would look so much better with less angles.

Okay guys, now do the C8 next!
