Cool story dude. Don’t you try to flip this around. I’m not angry. I’m actually pretty amused by this. Typical Rennlist argument. I didn’t write an entire paragraph trying to rationalize why skipping Sport PASM is the better choice. I merely said I would always spec the sportiest stuff I could afford. You took offense

Marketing or not, there are tangible changes in speccing Sport PASM to make it drive even sportier. I NEVER once said that the 911 doesn’t drive well without Sport PASM. But for me specifically, if I’m going to buy a sportscar, I’m going to get the sportiest one I can afford. That would include PTV, SC, and Sport

Well, it sounds like most 992 base buyers should just opt for the T or S at minimum then. Sport PASM has stiffer anti-sway bars and spring rates front and rear. It’s not ‘just a 10mm drop’ as you’re saying it is. If your driveway is steep, you can option front axle lift with Sport PASM and you’ll have the sport

You wildly underestimate the speed, accuracy, and control that the government can perform with when it is a matter of national security.

“If anything happens to me, it’s not suicide.”

See I Was never a JDM fan boy, but ALWAYS loved this car, it was always and still is a if I win the lottery car. But if I didn’t win the lottery and had that kind of money to buy a sports car I would probably like you go Porsche, even though the GTR is likely more practical as a daily.

I think more hybridization is just an unintended good consequence of the original EV mandates. There were a lot of mopes out there who were always going to stay away from EV’s on principle, but if you spend enough time telling them they will be stuck with one eventually, it makes owning a hybrid seem like a reasonable

Deep down, I honestly glad Nissan / Nismo still sell both GT-R R35 and Skyline GT-R R32, R33 and R34 (albeit indirectly via Skyline Restoration Program)

Why? Who’s being inconvenienced by its existence?

That’s true lol, I’ll always keep my Evo as long as I can, but If I add another car, I want a Mercedes GT coupe.

Agreed. I rather they keep making it until the successor is ready, than cancel it and not have a halo car. It’s not like they’re losing money on these things. The major R&D has been paid for a long time ago and the MSRP has more than doubled since the original 2009MY release.

Competitive as far as sheer speed and lap times go? Sure. But I’d argue that most people with $150k+ to spend on a new sportscar isn’t going out to buy a Nissan. That’s the problem it faces. I had money to buy a used GTR. But I bought a 718 Cayman S instead. But truth be told, the GTR was never on the short list, or lo

So with all the billions of cameras anywhere and everywhere throughout modern society, can someone explain to me how we don’t seem to have footage of the events leading up to his death?

Thanks to Carlos Ghosn we’re still stuck with the same GTR after nearly 20 years.

I always find it bizarre when EV evangelists bemoan hybrids as overly complicated as if we don’t have plenty of >15 year old Priuses still on the roads.

Heck, I saw plenty of 2nd gen Ford Escape Hybrid taxi cabs on the road well after they were discontinued. These things routinely racked up 200k+ miles of city driving.

EV mandates are fine, but there’s still no real momentum in them at this point. What should be mandated is full hybridization. There’s no reason not to make every car/truck/bus a hybrid. Small batteries, huge efficiency gains, no need to provide more infrastructure (which the U.S. is bad at doing, anyway; that’s

We can’t consume our way out of a problem. Modern hybrids are cleaner and more efficient than they’ve ever been, and are a perfectly acceptable stopgap while the EV infrastructure improves and prices come down, which is when you’ll start to see mass adoption.

Until recently, I would have said Altima, nothing came close, but you then mentioned the present day winner in my book, the little GM CUV’s, with the Buick Encore the clear leader of that bunch. They must have good deals on them, as I see young women with kids(Mostly) driving them all the time, but even my landlord

That’s because you need to be that far into your career to afford one up here.

That salesman’s face screams “no commission is worth this.”
