The Fury is one of my lifelong favorites: it's an odd amalgam of horror, dinner theater, conspiracy thriller, and visionary dreamfest (accompanied by my absolute favorite John Williams score) it is one of the most compelling pure director's movies out there, and is hypnotic from beginning to end. It doesn't hurt…

One of the things that I loved in the show's first five or so years was the proliferation of well-drawn secondary characters. That's not so much the case now, and the elevation of minor comic characters to greater prominence has not worked to the benefit of the show.
