I love you.

I gained 50 pounds with my first pregnancy (thank you Eggo waffles and Aunt Jemima table syrup) and lost it all a year after baby by doing nothing. Second baby comes, I gain 60 pounds, and have yet to lose 30 of it. And I like myself better now. I am busy, and my mind isn't on what I am eating, or how many calories

I'm not normally nit-picky, but that sentence is driving me nuts.

Especially now that the weather is getting so nice!! Sigh, a nice, long run on a cool spring day.....

Yoga Nerd,

From Ms. Brumfitt's blog:

GENERAL NOTE: Anti-Fit Mom is different than Anti-fit mom. Fit Mom is a woman who went around bodyshaming other mothers with her muscle-building story. This woman clearly devotes a lot to fitness (not the mom featured in the article obviously since she was a fitness model), but realized she could embrace her

This is just so wonderful. I took a long lunch today to find a swimsuit for a girls weekend at the lake and I just hated myself. This is my first summer since littlebassoon was born and, shockingly, I am not back to my pre-pregnancy size.

Some of the comments on this article are making me want to smash my face into my desk.

I almost wanted to take back what I wrote. they're clearly interesting and creative. There is some enjoyment in watching people flourish creatively when given the means to do so. I do have high regard for them, which I hope isn't being eroded with this story. I admit myself to being entranced.

You get out of here with your calm rationale and logical reasoning.

I will say that I'm disappointed in this article's title about her being "Anti Fit" mom. She appears to be fit, healthy, have athletic capability, etc. Maybe "Normal Fit" or "Not a Fat-Shaming Douchenozzle" would be more accurate?

I don't think this woman is advocating for not being fit. The whole point is that she is beautiful in both photos.

I'm not surprised that people don't know what a healthy body looks like. I doubt she's outside of the normal weight range, she's just not tight and taut anymore. She looks happy.

Boob jobs and tummy tucks are hardly objectively healthy lifestyle choices.

She always struck me as the most normal, which I guess means least crazy and therefore bad tv.

Thank you x1 million for this, Phoenix. Its been a rough few months for me - despite my efforts, I have gained a fair amount of weight so far in this, my first pregnancy. All the body acceptance I thought I had went out the window as my body has become almost unrecognizable. I quit running at the beginning of this

Brumfitt considered getting a tummy tuck and a boob job, until she asked herself how she could teach her daughter to love her own body if Brumfitt couldn't love her own.

Here's my review of that movie:
