Yeah, I had never heard of it until I was perusing the interwebs for Shiba Inu puppies (they're so cute! This was before I even knew what doge was, fyi). It's actually really messed up. It's so sad, and I'm sure the income the bring in is something crazy.

Yeah, apparently Amish puppy mills are a huge thing. She spent $800 on a dog that was brought into this world by cruel means.

A friend of ours got a Shiba Inu from an "Amish breeder" in PA. The dog has a heart murmur. Blegh. Damn puppy mills.
