I helped report out this story with Doug and, while I think this adds the proof that's out there, with almost any of this at some level you're going to have to trust the story and trust the person.

I've definitely had to do this before at track days - luckily I only do my track days with reputable outfits that are very proactive in terms of driver safety, and these issues are handled promptly and professionally.

That's the thing. No one should be discouraged from doing a track day. They just have to learn to do it the right way. That's the fun part, learning and getting better. And I don't think a car like a GT-R suits his experience level.

FWIW, if you ever find yourself in a trackday session with a driver like this (which you will) there's a way to handle it.
