The road car version knocked 190 kilos out of the car (from 1370 to 1180), which is pretty impressive given that it has what looks like a full roll cage. Ferrari didn't go for a sissy half cage like you get in a Porsche RS.

Because they haven't filmed the studio portions of the three remaining S22 episodes yet, and can't get it figured out by tomorrow?

I was gonna say, there are a bunch of Gulf-branded stations in Virginia these days (among other states I'm sure...)

And very much worth seeing on display anytime anyone is near Washington DC.

E30 M3?

This is why all generic looking enclosed race trailers need huge vinyl that says "EARL'S USED FOAM BLOCK RECYCLING" or similar on both sides. So thieves won't think there is anything of value inside.

YES. As a former two-time E36 M3 sedan owner and current beater E36 328 sedan owner, I agree with all this. They're just... right.

Glad someone posted about the 6. Like others I think it looks fantastic, especially considering the price. Local dealer has 30+ of 'em on the lot, including a silver base Sport three-pedal they'll let go for like $19k. So very tempting, for an appliance...

First thing I do is look for one of those DMV-issued handicapped parking tags* under the rearview mirror that allows 'em to be in said spot. If they don't have one, I may say something.

Yep - my Focus ST didn't understeer hardly at all. Nice and tail happy at times on the track too. Less pushy than my E36 M3 in fact, which is kinda sad lol

Test drove one last year. If by "tons of power" you mean "not really that much power", then I agree... and if by "handles like it's on rails" you mean "has decent grip but massive understeer", then I also agree. ;-)

I've got a PP GTI incoming for late March delivery and will certainly take it to the nearest Dynojet once it's got some break in miles. Lots of variables of course, but my mk6 GTI made almost exactly its published crank numbers at the tires (200/207), and my FoST made more than expected too (advertised as 252/270

Had one as a rental car. Rode ok but not great seats, slow, more NVH than expected, didn't get highway mileage as good as Focus or Mazda3. Felt like a tarted-up Neon basically. Love the concept and maybe the higher trim level ones are better, but as is... would not buy

Hate if you're any kind of size or doing any kind of roadtrips. Too snug in the shoulders especially for me at 6 feet, 225 pounds. I went out of my way to get one with the base seats.

And a/c, cruise, power windows, bluetooth, usb port, decent stereo... oh and more than 252hp, they're a bit under-rated from the factory... mine dyno'd 242whp/280wtq SAE on the nearest Dynojet bone stock with 1000 miles on it

Nice, I paid 21 and change for a base FoST about fifteen months ago and thought that was a good deal at the time. There were some minor gripes and it didn't turn out to be a particularly reliable or well built car, but maybe I just got a bad one... and it was certainly fun to drive. Pretty tough to beat for 20 grand!

Now playing

+1 on Clarkson playing up the SLS sideways-ness for the cameras, I personally witnessed this at VIR the day they visited and filmed. During some sessions he actually tried to go fast. (See also: series 15, episode 7)
