Exactly. A lot of people (men, mostly) get very rich off of other people (men, mostly) who are paid extraordinary amounts of money to literally play games. And I don’t mean to diminish the skill and dedication of the people who have devoted their lives and their bodies to the game, but it’s still entertainment.

I was reading a summary on yesterday’s court proceedings, and my understanding — which could totally be wrong — is that in this case, the jury wasn’t asked whether they thought he deserved to die, but rather they had to all agree that the death penalty was an appropriate sentence for at least one of his charges.

It’s almost impressive that Chuck was able to pivot so quickly to find another “cause” of the crash, since his hunch that the engineer was a POC hired only due to affirmative action was quickly proven to be wrong. Almost.

And the people that like to shit on her forget that she attended Le Cordon Bleu and I believe her childhood, spent helping her mother raise her four younger siblings, influenced the concept. Oh, and if she started today and called it “food hacks” people probably wouldn’t be as harsh.

I think that will depend a lot on what Stewart is going to do next, and if that will involve taking staff with him (or if some of the more senior members of the staff will go to Colbert), and whether Noah's show will have a big tonal shift, the way that TDS did once Jon took over.

Samantha Bee was one of my favorite all-time correspondents. Her pieces at the conventions were amazing. I'm going to miss having her on the show greatly, but I'm happy we still have Jessica Williams and her don't-give-a-fuck attitude.
