Oof. I’m pregnant with my first now and I’m really struggling with body image - and subsequently ashamed that it bothers me so much. I haven’t even really gained much yet at 25 weeks, but everything looks different and I just look like a bred heifer (which.... I am I guess). Last night I almost cried. I reeaaalllly

I’m coming up on my 5th anniversary. I didn’t think the first year was as bad as everybody made it out to be, but I do think it’s gotten better since then. Surviving more shit together and coming out ok will do that :)

There were a LOT. I was a stuffed animal aficionado and I took meticulous care of them. A particular fave though is this little hound that came with a pair of Hush Puppy shoes... still have her :)

Good kinja.

I’m doing the best I can here!

I am with you *rewatches eps IV - VI forever*

I’m not familiar with Bill Hicks, but your description is so fantastic because I knew that kid too!

Wardrobe planning seems to be key here

Thank you, that’s helpful. I’ll check with my medical team too. I’m usually the type to stretch out a beer or glass of wine, glad to know I don’t have to deal with dumping every time.

I’m a lightweight already! I’m going to be going to a bachelorette party probably about 3-4 weeks postpartum (it’s my best friend and I’m MOH otherwise I’d probably not).... preparing for that to be a mild disaster

I should figure this out. I already put my sister on post-delivery mimosa duty

Thank you for providing the link. That poor woman

This is sad, but on a certain level, true. At least no one else died

I see your point - cancer is obviously worse than bad odors. A smokers cancer risk just affects them; what people are complaining about are the things that affect them, particularly when we’re looking at these incredibly privileged people acting above the law and social contract. And, well, who hasn’t tried to

I’ve heard it’s hard and that sucks. A lot of the criticism is specifically from smoking indoors (exposing others and museum pieces to smoke) and the glamorization, which can make more kids smoke, which often leads to addiction, as you noted.

I think we all know that...

Atta girl. Daydrinking take two tomorrow?

His reasoning exactly. Fortunately he didn’t get addicted and was able to quit after WWII. But it’s really something that in these environments you can take a break for unhealthy coping mechanisms but not something healthy... like just getting a freaking break

My grandpa started smoking in the Navy just so he could take smoke breaks.
