You then ask for a car fax and/or other data to check the milage and the seller refuses to provide it.”

Dont forget Tesla/Musk Inc is setting up a huge G-Factory near Austin to “own the libs in CA” so yeah, the TX attorney general wants to score points in the hopes he moves more of his workforce there. Backscratching going around in every direction.

It’s fucking Ken Paxton. He should be in prison for various reasons. He’s probably just doing it for attention.

If you have to wonder, you can’t afford it. I couldn’t afford to drive this car even if I got it for free, I’m sure.

What a peasant. What, you can’t afford both like I can?

The MGU-H also works in reverse, to generate electricity, which it does at high engine/boost speeds, and I believe on spool-down off-throttle, so it’s not just an anti-lag device, it adds a lot of efficiency. But, from Day 1 it was also the most difficult hybrid component to get right (extremely finicking trying to

if not really practical in any real world way”

Oh sure, for anyone who will own one the cost of maintenance/upkeep is definitely going to be a complete non-concern.

This is neat from an engineering perspective, but it is kind of a waste because virtually all of these will be sold to oil barons in the middle east who will stick them in a warehouse and never drive them. The 30k mile engine rebuild interval is also irrelevant for similar reasons.

I *really* wonder about what maintenance and upkeep entails if you actually drive the thing,”

It’s an amazing rolling display of automotive technology if not really practical in any real world way. It’s interesting how in something like this Mercedes illustrates how every wing, fin and portal have a purpose and nothing is wasted but in their production cars there is to much fake extra crap.

I wish it looked a bit better, and I *really* wonder about what maintenance and upkeep entails if you actually drive the thing, but there’s no denying that it’s impressive as hell on a technical level.

IMO manual cars are great for city driving.

I would argue hot hatches and similarly small sports cars/sedans are the perfect city car. Quick acceleration makes a world of difference in navigating busy surface streets. I lived in Atlanta for a stretch and the WRX I drove at the time was perfect. Small enough to manage tight parking spots and peppy enough to

The convertible entry sounds just like my dad. He has never owned a convertible, but he is dead certain that, were he to get one, the soft top would immediately attract cigarette burns and knife slashes. Mind you, he lives in a quiet little country subdivision just outside of a town of 12k people. Vandalism is not

With the New York thing I think that’s because pretty much everyone ignores everyone else.

Anecdotal evidence:

I really don’t understand this guy. He’s rich, he owns several companies, he has the ability to go anywhere and do basically anything, why is he shitposting on Twitter?
