For me, functional fitness is the ability to excel (when I was younger) and enjoy sports and activities. Running and lifting weights means I can play an afternoon of basketball and not drag around like I’m dying. It means I can go for long hikes and wander around in the mountains and play softball.

I was a family law attorney for the better part of a decade. In a Bible Belt state, no less. It was pretty fair. Of course, everyone involved always thought they were getting screwed, but 99% of the time judges develop compromise rulings.

It’s impossible to know what he actually believes, I agree with that. But that cuts both ways - you can never know if he believes what he says, but you also can’t rely on reality and basic sense to cast doubt on the wackier things he says.
