I mean, io9 talked shit about this film for three years, and then got even saltier when they weren’t allowed into the press screening. Seems pretty simple to me.

Thanks for taking the time to comment and I TOTALLY agree on the Snyder born to make Batman portion—his dark tone is completely tailored for a Batman movie.

It’s funny, since DC movies should be the exact thing Gawker readers want: a powerful woman lead, diversity (MoS had a bunch, and Amy Adams fought and escaped Kryptonians on her own), and it’s the underdog.

Stupid fanboy nerds who don’t like that Superman killed someone even though he did it in the Reeves Superman films and the golden age comics. They also have huge hate-boners for Zack Snyder (along with most of the I09 writers/editors). They will hate this movie if it does well regardless of it’s quality.

Black Panther and possibly the most important MCU addition - Spiderman.

I can tell you exactly what the case is . . . Zack Snyder. There is an inbred dislike for Snyder on io9. Couple that with the fact that Marvel has a particular tone that’s popular . . . meaning that some people are incapable of accepting a different tone for other properties.

After the Hogan trial decision? Probably zilch. They’re gonna have to rely on the hate-spewing clickbait for quite some time.

What do you think the chances are of anything nice being posted before the movie comes out? Maybe a nice little look back article on MoS without the $$Marvel$$ colored glasses or a somewhat optimistic non-spoiler preview/review?
