You do have a say in this, however. Saying “the Democrats are going to fuck up 2018 and 2020" is a passive statement, as if we’re all just standing around and observing things and have no say in the matter. We do have a say in the matter

I’m with you on most of these but Term Limits is a really bad idea. In California, it’s allowed lobbyists to gain more power because all the people elected to positions in the state legislature have to leave just as they’re finally learning how to do their jobs. Lobbyists know how to work the state government better

It’s the playoffs, though. There’s a small subsection in the NFL rulebook that says that concussion protocols aren’t needed if it’s during the playoffs and the QB is a star. Otherwise known as the Russell Wilson Rule

Hot take- I think anyone over 80 should be forced out of government because they’re friggin’ 80 years old. I’m not sure I want major decisions about my life being decided by people who don’t understand that you don’t have to actually watch commercials on TV.

there’s been more rumors about Kennedy leaving than Ginsberg, actually (including one that around last summer). This is why making sure the Democrats take over the Senate as well as the House is so God damn important

Also- it’s a great song

Trump’s hellacious bungling of hurricane relief being the thing that turns Florida into a Blue State will be such sweet, sweet karma

I’m surprised every coastal state hasn’t already sued about this yet. I even saw that people in South Carolina (South Carolina!) are pissed off about this. Between this and all the people fleeing to Florida from Puerto Rico, the Republicans can start writing off Florida for the next couple of election cycles

this could be wishful thinking but right now, he might not make it through 2018

You forgot the people who only like Trump because he makes libtard snowflakes angry

The good news is that maybe this will keep him busy enough to keep him from investigating Hillary’s emails again. Which is apparently once again, a thing:

Gardner (and Murkowski) have skin in the game, though- their states have made pot legal and Sessions wants to take it away from them. It’s one thing to support vague and unclear tax policies for which they probably don’t understand but their donors love and a whole other thing to support something that definitely and

I saw that header image and...well...too soon :(

I have friends who watch their kids through GPS when they drive and shows them what web sites they visit during the day. It’s not too far of a leap to go from where we are now tech wise to the kind of technology in Arkangel and the desire for people to use it.

I thought the episode should have gone that way in that a mother intentionally blocking her daughter from seeing or knowing about anything bad is more interesting than the story that was presented and you could even say it’s relevant in how current parents go overboard in trying to shield their precious children from

I thought it was predictable too but it worked for me in that it was more of a Greek Tragedy than a typical Black Mirror episode. We all knew what was going to happen, the mother even sort of knew what was going to happen, and yet it happened anyway. The tension in the episode was in waiting for the mother to use

It wasn’t necessarily the C-Section that made her the way she was, it was how the baby never started crying when it came out and how the doctor’s huddled around it, blocking her from the mother’s view, and wouldn’t respond to her questions about how the baby was doing. That’s what made her paranoid- not the c-section

I find it kind of amusing that in an episode mainly about issues revolving around male privilege and all those other fun buzzwords that most of the comments are about plot inconsistencies, dodgy science and comparisons to Star Trek TNG episodes.

The comment about rock music being “girly” isn’t nearly as eggregious as the claim that what the world needs now is for more white males to express their anger. Right now, angry white males need to go take a timeout and sit in a corner for a few years

The early stuff are kinda punkish, or at least New Wave sounding. War is definitely an angry and punkish album. Everything they’ve released since then has flashes of anger in it, although YMMV on how effective they are.
