Indeed, my tv’s remote does still use it, but what of it? And for the record, “state of the art” doesn’t mean “good.” The Wright Flyer was once state of the art in aviation.

PC Jr didn’t just have a chiclet keyboard, it used infrared wireless. The dearth of infrared communication devices today should tell you all you need to know about that. The odd commercials with the Charlie Chaplin impersonator didn’t help matters.

It looks like you have forgotten to consider inflation in your prices. $670 in 1984 is $1565 in today’s money, making the low end PC Jr way more expensive than you suggest.

The truth is you’re both right. Modern Lodge cookware is not machined as older stuff was. You can’t “sand that down” to a similar finish, but you can sand and change the texture *somewhat*. You both used somewhat inarticulate and incomplete phrasing to make your points, and both seem to have chosen the least

Sometimes Silly Putty is just Silly Putty.

I contacted the developer and they said it is no longer under development, so I won’t be trying it. There’s little worse than depending on a tool that has been killed. But thanks for the info.

Having been almost hit twice by Prius drivers going less than 5 miles an hour - in a gas station and *my own driveway* because they “assumed you knew I was there”- this is something I support. The way to avoid “noise pollution” is simple - just use a recording of a similarly sized gas engine.

The world is neither unpopulated not overpopulated. This is because we do not know what the optimum population of the world is. We can say with certainty that some *areas* of the world are overpopulated. Your house appears to be such a place.

No it won't, because the modern period is over.

There certainly is nothing to complain about in the Mac world!

I don’t know of an app that does this, but you could create one called “Soccer is over” and set an alert for it.

How disappointing that the Oontz midi device is no longer available.

actually, it's how you know who the poor people are.
