Samurai Flamenco was awesome! I watched that and Samurai Champloo back-to-back in some pretty epic home by myself watching sessions.
For being an average Canadian “citizen” I read a LOT of FA posts. And they are many of my more memorable reads. Thanks, and keep linking to older related posts I might have missed back in the day. Just read the “Confessions...of a Boom Operator”. Amazing. On that same note: all the submarine quips, amazing.
Finally! Something the Germans are trying to get into Switzerland is too “dirty” for them to handle. Still happy to take some gold...
Also solid axle Dana44 front end will always trump IFS setup for trail bashing, even with the pumpkin getting banged around. Also, much easier to do redneck repairs on the trail, and much more “limp-able” back to a flatbed accessible road.
I played more FOT than anything else in University... it contributed highly to my “C’s get degrees” attitude.
For some reason the double-hand-touch-slowdown shot (2:24) really did it for me. And all the glorious “bees”from the car and so much sumo love happening there.
Agreed. So many advantages to a high open to the elements truck-bed. Also, out of sight, out of mind right. Trucks with a bike in the back are like a car thief 2-for-1 special.
Fortunately I’ve never gone down on pavement so far.
agreed.
Yeah, they’re all basically KTM clones with some nicer parts, and different plastics. In my bikes scenario it has better brakes, WP shocks, rear suspension, polyamide subframe (lighter), a rear linkage, and Husky plastics (and some little odds-n-ends). But it still pretty much a KTM 350 EXC-F. I’m considering getting…
The Knight should be a diatribe! (For ultimate mobility). Maybe a supermoto for “corners”.
2015 FE 350 s. Mine’s been super low maintenance this season. Put about 2600 km on it so far (mostly pavement). Checked the head at 1500km; all good. And I change the oil either every major dirt session OR 1000-1500 km. I would have more km’s racked up but I busted a couple ribs and chipped my pelvis the other weekend…
Saving my pennies this summer for a set of sumo wheels for the husky. If this summer riding was at level amazing (on knobbies), next summer will be mind melting.
What’s your buddy’s bike budget? The DRZ400 is a fun bike but a bit heavy for what it puts out (the bigger DR isn’t worth the steel is made of). I’ve ridden my neighbours old kawasaki 650 and it put more oomph out. I bought a Husky FE350S (AKA KTM 350 EXC-F) and can’t stop taking my bike out. I’ve used my car (for…
I bought an Icon Raiden DRK pants/jacket combo for my dual sport (Husky FE350s) this year. Couldn’t be happier with it. Rode through rainstorms on the way to work that had cars pulling over; me: bone-dry and totally focussed on the ride. Rode home in a sleet storm at night to get home with enough force to fold my…
The fact that this is finally happening was enough for me to be less lazy and re-make my Kinja account (used to only have a burner and lost the key a year and some ago). Excited for interesting moto-posts.
