There's an old saying: "Write what you'd want to read." I'd say the same could be said for video games— "Design what you'd like to play." As a single person studio, you shouldn't have to kowtow to mob mentality political correctness.

Also, since the game is going F2P in Korea et al., you can be sure that the game will go F2P here. That's $5 to get "preferred status" or whatever it'll be called when the inevitable hybrid model shows up.

I'm not trying to be a MS apologist here, but I would think absurd update deployment costs would be an incentive to, you know, have good Quality Assurance and not release a crappy product to begin with.
