I love this premise, and it has so much potential for expanding how weird this fake show this is an after show is in the background. Fred Savage as seems like perfect choice and I hope this lasts long enough for me to check it out

Here’s the thing about The Shivering Truth, and really all of Chatman and co.’s shows. They might not always be joke machines, but they are undoubtedly some of the most brilliant things ever put on television. I know this sounds pretentious, and it probably is, but I feel like there’s a distinct difference between…
Anyone else think it was a kind of meta joke about how tv has changed, and they have as writers that in the clip with the mall Santa they bleep re****ed but let through every one of Charlie’s uses of “fuck?”
With as meta a show as Sunny can be I’m both surprised that it’s season 13 and they’re only JUST now doing a weird them version of a clip show and that it never accrued to me that it’s weird it’s taken them so long to do this until they actually do it.
I am so happy that this exists. It was so nice to get another half an hour with all these nutcases. And now I’ll have to watch it at least 2 more times this week to catch all the little things I missed.
Right? It just completely flew in under the radar. Then again that is exactly 12oz Mouse’s style
Only slightly related, So in addition to this well advertised special, Sunday will also see the very unexpected return of 12oz Mouse.
True story. That soundbite is, and has been for several years, my text message tone.
Great list. You can’t really go wrong with any of the episodes though. Hell, you could marathon the whole series in less time than your average work day if you felt so inclined. Other great choices, espically for the surprisingly still relevant political episodes:
Oh also, anyone else maybe wonder if Jonas and Blue Morpho brothers too? I don’t know, I’ve just had a feeling about that since that recording found in the Morpho Cave last season.
I’m calling it right now, the vague phrasing of only “blood relation” makes me think Doc and The Monarch aren’t just half brothers, but maybe something weirder. I’m thinking Doc is less a son as some kind of genetic experiment and more than likely The Monarch is Jonas’s actual son. Either that or The Monarch is…
You say that, but I distinctly remember the commentary for, I’m pretty sure, “Victor. Echo. November.” in season 2 where they are joking about doing a whole episode that’s Billy’s backstory and how he got his hand. Cut to a couple years later and we get “The Invisible Hand of Fate.”
So the waiter/flight attendant mentioned being in Michigan and running into The Gang at the Super Bowl. Not surprising, I was sure as hell when the Eagles won that this season would have them get involved some crazy related hijinks. Here’s the question though: is this foreshadowing to a sequel like episode to The…
I’ve got to say are you serious? The original run of Harvey Birdman was INCREDIBLY political. Evolutionary War where the school refused to teach evolution? Back to the Present where the Jetsons time traveled to sue present day people for climate change? Blackwatch Plaid about the terror alert system and the Patriot…
I love that each season has had it’s own tone but they are all satisfying in different ways. Season 1 had a slightly wilder than normal episode with Aiken background callbacks and an emotional gut punch. Season 2 seemed like it would go that route and then it blew everything up and left us with a hell of a cliffhanger…
I know it can’t be this way but “Doodoo Butt” feel so like a deliberate attempt at saying “Holy Shit, ‘Terryfold’ actually charted? Let’s write something even sillier/grosser and see if we can do that again.”
I keep forgetting about Mindhunter somehow, maybe it’s because I first heard about it over a year ago when I rewatched all of Fringe before it went off Netflix. I hope it’s good. Fincher is almost always a good sign and I’m glad to se Anna Torv again.
Something I’ve always loved is that the end credit music tries to start like two or three times before it actually gets going. It recalls the conversation with Sara Lynn on the bench in “Prickly-Muffin” where BoJack did his own cut to credits thing except here the show doesn’t let him end it to escape what he just…
As much as I loved that this was basically just another episode of Awesome Show and it was just like going home again I kind of hope this is the end of it, just because Tim and Eric off in Dunnderland for all eternity is an even better reason for there being no more Awesome Show than the whole cast dying from spoiled…
