Ageism, it’s rampant in Hollyweird you know.

Personally, I thought Fester (and Gomez and Morticia, to be fair) were the weakest parts of the series, but I’m sure we can trust Neflix to do the right thing. /s

Both of those tropes are well over 10 years old, and Google is your friend, friend.

It seems like a mistake to use some new and inexperienced tornado for the Twister sequel instead of bringing back the same one from the first movie so we can see how it’s been getting on over the years.

I’m not a fan of casting Alexander Skarsgård as Murderbot. He would fit playing a character in Sanctuary Moon instead. Nothing against him, but Murderbot is so non-gendered and Skarsgård is like this hunky viking vampire.

Also I wonder how they will take all the internal monologue and thinking in code into the screen.

Yeah, even though SecUnits are canonically non-gendered (as in, they have none possible), my mental space was always a de-gendered super-buff female. Skarsgard is a very manly man, so that’s going to take some mental remapping.

Hey , heres one for you

I’d always seen ‘bot as androgynous but !slightly fem leaning androgynous!, if that makes any sense? Based on how it (they?)talk and act , so its a bit weird for me , but , it could be good.

Murderbot is one of my favorite series of the last decade, but I’m skeptical about its translation to screen - so much of it relies on SecUnit’s internal narration.

Man, I am so excited for the Murderbot series. Skarsgard doesn’t fit with what I think Sec Unit should look like, but he’s a fine actor and I’m sure will do great.

Deadline also reports Mena Suvari, Stephen Dorff, Dichen Lachman, Rosa Salazar, Lochlyn Munro, India Eisley, Sarah Dumont, Mark Boone Jr., Tom Berenger, Timothy V. Murphy, Sherman Augustus and Tyrese Gibson

Boy, Grimace has really let himself go.

I can’t buy into Ryan Reynolds reinvention as some wholesome family comedian. He was perfectly cast as Deadpool for a reason, and trying to be a millennial knockoff of Willy Wonka because his kids are old enough to watch his films isn’t cutting it.

They needed to not have celebrities voice the characters. Having Steve Carell’s voice come out of the big purple monster is so jarring. I could get over bad eyelines, but when the voice doesn’t fit the character? So much worse.

Watched the trailer for Sunrise. That is definitely not a small town in “Ireland”.

Hey they made a documentary about 2026 after Trump wins again.

I honestly feel that everyone should listen to Robert Evans (Behind the Bastards podcast), 8-part mini-series podcast It Could Happen Here. He recorded it during the pandemic. He novel After the War is also a great read. Both deal with the US during and after a modern civil war.

I mean, I don’t know if it necessarily needs anti-Semitism.

Waiting for IO9 to pick up on this. The updates from the trial are really, really bad.

Congrats to Corrain on her new career ghostwriting books for conservative politicians that are bulk-purchased by super-PACs.
