I think broadcast networks still have them. But since none of them make any kids shows anymore, it doesn’t affect cartoons.

The bigger questions is what action figures will this show advertise?

I want there to be a lot of weird arbitrary censorship to reflect the Standards & Practices departments of the time.

Mixed messages here: will it be “in the vein of 80s cartoons”, or will it have “incredible scripts and artwork”?

Cleese sounds so bad. like they literally recorded it off the phone. his lines were so echo-y, like jeez.

Yeah. Harley was a successful Psychologist who got struck with a type of Stockholm Syndrome”, that allowed The Joker to corrupt her into what she became.

Absolutely no surprise that this movie’s Harley looks like a miserable, strung-out mess. Unlike Joker, Harley was conceived as a more upbeat and comedic character (with an undercurrent of tragedy, sure, but it’s not her main vibe) but no joy is allowed in Todd Phillips’ bleak worldview.

This movie wouldn’t have made a fraction of the money it did if it wasn’t branded with The Joker.

Slapping a morose looking Harley Quinn into the story isn’t going to help.

Look, I know there’s space for adaptations and interpretations when doing these comic book films...but I already had little interest in anything to do with this Joker movie but man Todd thinking that image of Harley is the one he wants to use to reveal his vision....jesus.

It just feels a grim slog - a churning out of another anti-hero asshole with the belief that it is some trenchant commentary on the modern situation. It isn’t, it’s just another asshole character with no redeeming value and little to say other than what you can hear from the ‘well, actually’ trolls online.

I’m with you. This is a Joker movie made by people who don’t care about comic superheroes or Batman, for people who don’t care about comic superheroes or Batman. They could just have made it an arthouse film about a new character voicing the rage and nihilism of a generation and it would have been received just as

Undoubtedly in the minority on this one, but good acting aside, this is a screwy unproductive Joker-verse from the beginning. He was always a criminal mastermind with a touch of hebephrenia, not just a case of unlucky stand-up with ADHD. That is, he has to eventually out-maneuver a very smart opponent, and those smarts

Can you stop linking to Twitter, maybe, please? Just screenshot and paste please. Nobody wants to have to go to Elon’s hellsite no more.

The whole tone and premise of the Joaquin Phoenix Joker puts me off so I haven’t seen it. I’m glad others find value in it even if I’m scared by what that might say. So it’s maddening that they have an artist I love, Lady Gaga, doing something fascinating with a character I love. Who knows, maybe the sequel will be

Yeeeaaah I thought it was... fine. Nothing special, and certainly not worth a follow-up.

I kinda wish I knew what I was missing on “Joker,” as I thought it was mostly unpleasant shit that I got bored with long before it was over, and that Joaquin Phoenix has been better in other films.

Very funny that they are killing horses and burning down sets on a Lord of the Rings show that nobody is going to watch.

So they’re actually going full Roger Rabbit with that SNW/LD cross-over? Wild - I feel like that’s going to walk a narrow path to be funny without being annoying, but that might just be me (I don’t like Lower Decks).

Hunt Club sounds like it’s inspired by Jenna Maroney’s sex life...
