Oh come on, this can’t be real. What the actual fuck?

Finally, a mad scientist creates a teenage chupacabra, banshee, and succubus in the trailer for The Imperfects, an original 10 -pisode series premiering September 8 on Netflix.

I get what he’s saying but Cobra Kai already *is* the Karate Kid cinematic universe. We have multiple movies and a TV series all interlinked.

“I must depart now” is absolutely going to be the next iteration of the Skeletor meme:

I mean, Trump’s attorneys just put “and there’s too much stuff to even get into here” in their FILING THAT WAS MADE TO SHOW ALL THE STUFF so I don’t know that this is really a reach.

This episode was great, but it also kinda saddened me.

I like the whole notion of trying-to-hold-Wong-accountable for stuff like that lol. His just “I must depart now” (or whatever he said) moment demonstrated just how wild it must be to try and hold anyone accountable for stuff in the MCU now that it’s gotten so big and comic-booky.

Ha, and I was only talking about excessively abstracted names in my own comment. I’ve heard praise for this but ye gods: could they not have come up with a better, less vague name than “From?”

Thank you! That’s exactly what I thought. In order, the following happened:

1) Wong portals Blonsky out of there, maybe not for the first time and they fight
2) Shang-Chi and Katy see it live. Someone else captures it on film
3) Bruce (as Bruce and with hurt arm) and Carol talk to Shang-Chi
4) Bruce (as Bruce and with

I took the final scene to mean that someone leaked footage of abomination at the fight and it made it to the prosecutors, or it was leaked online, but that the actual events of Shang Chi had happened a while before.

Looks like a kitbash of Sunshine, Event Horizon, Arrival, The Descent and Alien. That non-verbal spooky choir is getting old as well. Hope this is better than the trailer makes it out to be.

“...the sphere is transmitting a single word in every Earth language ever known: Deus.”

Jon Voight is npt just “right-wing” though. He made a very public statement that the last election was illegitimate, that the new president wss Satan and needed to be ousted out, by force if needed.

In terms of coverage, I was honestly just surprised that the show didn’t get a review here on io9. Especially since the comics are considered a hugely influential work that I am embarrassed to admit I never got far into until this year, and even now have only gotten up to the issues that the bonus episode adapted. I

That was the weirdest episode of Dr. Who I have ever seen.

The helmet is a great example of something that sounds cool on paper but looks really dumb in real life

Aww, that’s cute you think more books are coming.

I felt that everything about the first episode was sort of meh. There were no big swings (think Jamie pushing Bran out of a window in the first episode of GoT), and there wasn’t really a hook, or rather, the hook is that the story is set in the GoT world, which is not much to bank on given how bad the previous show

I feel the dream at the end is a clear way for Martin to say “hey, the ending to that show isn’t what I wanted”.

No, you’re not, I also noticed that the cinematography was a huge step down from GoT, also the CGI being a lot more obvious/distracting. I don’t know if it’s a smaller budget or a different team having a different vision, but I hope the visuals will improve.
