I saw this, and I’m not gonna say it’s a F level Horror movie, but not B Horror. D- Horror flick. Only because the location of the “Resort” is actually pretty awesome. Sadly, the cinematographer missed out on really capturing its own eerie atmosphere. Couldn’t truly establish shots to make it it’s own character. And

Set in 2089 “when humanity has become fully addicted to technology as an escape from reality,”...

I don’t think I can handle non-blonde Rosamund Pike. She wears it too well. But oh well, the things I do for love [push a kid out of a window].

Everything about this cut seems to be designed by someone who doesn’t want anyone that isn’t a diehard fanbot to watch it. The average person isn’t going to spend 4 hours watching capeshit. Especially reheated capeshit. Even the MCU would prob struggle with a 4 hour movie, the DC stuff? Forget it.

Clear indication that the snyder cut did not do anything to boost Max to a level that AT&T and Warner were satisfied with. There is no opening in her statements for “never say never,” or maybe.

Getting the cut was easier since almost all of the footage was shot back in 2016 and the VFX teams could still work during

a drowsy Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) is roused from bed by the arrival of a surprising guest, a green-skinned alien who calls himself the Martian Manhunter (Harry Lennix, who makes a baffling appearance halfway through Snyder’s movie before disappearing until this very moment).

I was cackling at how bad it was.
Imagine putting in so much work, 2 extra hours of footage to have just an mildly improved story.

Money could’ve been spent doing another better movie with another subject entirely.

Much like when AMC announced all those Walking Dead spinoffs, it seemed like a good idea at the time. Now, people are over it and aren’t very excited about it.

Do people still want more Game of Thrones?

Nebula finalists were announced Monday evening.  Any chance we might get some coverage on this SciFi website?

I actually didn't realize anyone was hoping for an Attack the Block 2. I loved the movie, but it seems like it said what it wanted to say and did what it wanted to do and wrapped things up pretty nicely. Not every movie (or book or video game or whatever) needs a sequel.

I thought the show made it clear that Hex Vision didn’t transfer his memories, he just unlocked White Vision’s memories which were being supressed. That would include everything up until the moment he was killed by Thanos.

I’m not going to hold my breath, since I consider Speed Racer the most accurate Western version of an Anime I’ve seen.

Yup. More to the point, it’s not the “upcoming” Kingkiller Chronicle because Showtime cancelled the project after the greenlight and returned the rights to Lionsgate because of budget overruns on Halo. Lin-Manuel Miranda has even indicated if they do revisit the project, it’ll be to turn the books themselves into a TV

Me in 2013: Pacific Rim is basically just an anime. They should just make one.

the proposed Section 31 spinoff show featuring Michelle Yeoh’s Phillipa Georgiou character from Star Trek: Discovery is still “conversations,” and will now only happen when one of the five current Star Trek projects...is over.

Wolfwalkers...

One of the things that’s great about Captain America’s shield is that it’s sharp enough to get embedded in trees or walls or whatever, but also you can grab it by the edges with your bare hands and pull really hard on it when it gets embedded in things and your hands are fine. A miracle of modern engineering!

Sean Patrick Flanery is 55 years old now. He’s older than Harrison Ford was in every Indiana Jones movie except for Crystal Skull. He really can’t play young Indy anymore.

I read it more as “I’m playing a supporting character on a TV show because that’s where I am as an actor now.” He’s accepting that he’s no longer going to be the lead in most things he’s offered now. Other readings of this quote seem uncharitable and unlikely to be what he meant to convey.
