"We weren't imagining the hardware this is going to go on."

I understand that Cartoon Network has some sci-fi shows, but why do I care that there is a new episode of the Loney Tunes Show on Tuesday?

I'm not going to deny that some foreign brands have stellar longevity, but when you consider that a lot of the time you will be able to buy 2 used Dodge cars for the price of 1 used Honda, it's pretty easy to come out ahead.

American cars are actually good things to buy used as well. A 3 or 4 year old Honda or Toyota will always command top dollar, but you can often get a 3 or 4 year old Ford/Chevy/Dodge for ~40% of the original purchase price.

Do you actually use that baller CRT monitor?

I do know that, but "hide personal results" should be the goddamn default.

I love Google+ and I understand why Google is trying to push it so hard. But I also think that it should be force to succeed on it's own merits. The way Google is acting right now reminds me of a youth athletics coach that makes their kid the starting pitcher even though other kids probably deserve the spot.

This is a giant cave spider silk cloak. All craftdwarfship is of the highest quality.

I'm pretty sure they are not. It would be like putting a missile on a U-2. It would have to get close enough to the target to let the munitions go, and at that point it's useless as a spy plane.

I have yet to find any reason to ditch WMP for simple downloaded video viewing.

It can save local copies of songs to your phone (not sure about SD card) as a cache. The problem is it will fill up your phone pretty darn quickly.

I always keep a charger by my bed, by my main PC, at my desk at work, and in my car (though I rarely use that). So my phone is more or less always charged. It does tend to shock me though on the days that I forget to plug it in how quickly it can drain.

Too bad Verizon makes you pay for their shitty "Verizon TV" service in order to actually watch NFL on your phone. Because an unlimited data plan somehow doesn't cover that.

Thank you so much for posting this as an actual list instead of one of those stupid video galleries that never load on my work computer. The gawker galleries are terrible.

The best thing about cheap electronics and cheap products in general is that when they break or get lost, you really don't care. If my phone broke I would be pretty upset, but when a pair of $20 earbuds break or a $30 sansa breaks, I don't sweat it. I also tend to buy things I know I will use a lot, like usb chargers

YES! Lots of big companies get their employees all kinds of discounts. I get a nice 23% off my monthly wireless bill. If it's a really big company and you are at one of the biggest sites, chances are they have deals with local gyms and daycare places, so look into that too.

The "Marks it for destruction" line makes me think of the human body as a giant game of dwarf fortress. That's probably not a good thing, but it does explain a lot.

It's an element not a molecule, but Cobalt is actually named after Kobolds, the mythical German goblins that feature prominently in lots of fantasy games.
