I just have a desktop that gets used for all the heavy lifting and most of the browsing, and a laptop for when I need to be mobile or just want to browse on the couch. I could never ditch my desktop, I just love having more screen real estate.

I'm looking forward to this Supercat movie. I think Superman Returns really dropped the ball when they failed to portray Superman as a cat.

Exactly. I buy maybe 2 or 3 movies a year, and I use Netflix for everything else. I used to torrent everything but I actually prefer to pay for Netflix because it's a better experience.

Let's hope Apple doesn't find some reason to remove the navigation apps from the app store.

Real totalitarian IT departments are still using IE6 or 7.

This new layout is failing so hard. Text getting cut off, giant awkward ads, slow to load. Big step backward if you ask me.

A big factor for me is how long will the battle or argument take. It's not worth fighting for 20 minutes if "losing" only means an extra 2 minutes of work for me.

"The only bad thing I can say about having this much screen real estate is that you need to keep an iron grip on your focus or you'll find yourself neck deep in LOL Cats and Reddit comments."

I read this as Destroy All Cats and got all excited about a kitty apocalypse story.

Isn't that a violation of the Android license?

What about mattresses? Planning on upgrading to a queen soon.

LG seems really good at making phones that look almost exactly like iphones.

I give my neighbor my wifi password and he is supposed to give me $10 a month. Dude's an underpaid teacher at an inner city school and can't afford broadband. Nothing wrong with helping your neighbors out.

Looks like a G.I. Joe vehicle. Which gun shoots the blue lasers?

So we're getting an Inception version of Enter the Matrix. Great.

When my laptop is out for repairs, I just rely on my desktop as that is my main machine anyway. When my desktop is down for repairs, I get a screwdriver and repair it.

I've been saying this for a long time, but they need to just combine Xbox Live Gold, Zune Pass, and this new TV service into one subscription.

I think an "App Store" for Windows is absolutely the wrong way to go. There's no shortage of windows software, I don't think people need help finding or installing programs for their Windows PCs.

That window is a few lines away from being the same shape as the Empire seal from Star Wars.

@Fauxcused: I don't think AI will be that far by then. Or maybe it will. It would be interesting to see the prosecutors go after the AI's development team for manslaughter, while the devs try to prove that the AI is sentient as their defense.
