Counterpoint: I think a lot of people love this series *because* of the super janky animation. Personally, I find it really endearing for some reason. And the first season really subverted people’s expectations because the plot ended up actually being really good.

I’ve never heard of this anime until now, and upon viewing about 5 minutes of this very episode, the gaze-line issues is near the BOTTOM of the list of problems this show has.
