Im a Seventies child too, and I gotta say, this sounds like exactly the kind of thing I like!

Your life is about to get a whole lot better. 40 is good. 50 is even better. Can't speak beyond that, but hopefully the positive trajectory of giving no fucks and answering to fewer and fewer douchebags will continue.
50 is great. I'll be 52 this summer and 50 was a real turning point for me. My motto now is "fuck that noise." I'm old and I am no longer going to do anything I don't want to do (within reason, of course). It's extremely freeing.
Don't get me started!
Yum yum! I made Atlantic Beach Pie from NYT recipe and it was delicious and easy - if you like lemons, you should make this tomorrow. The crust made with saltines is the perfect foil to the tart filling.
This movie frightened me so much that I’ll never watch it again. I think Rosemary’s Baby is a superior film that I could watch over and over, but The Exorcist is a hard no for me for the rest of my life.
What, no goldfinches? They’re so colorful and cute and they EAT UPSIDE DOWN! What’s not to love?
Omg this made me laugh so hard, I accidentally woke my sleeping kid.
Ugh, this is so dumb. I seem to recall a similar concern before same sex weddings were legalized. "But who's the husband? Who's the wife?" It's not that hard to change a form. If marriage certificates can say "spouse," why can't birth certificates just say "parent?"
Lol, I mean "I gotta," lol
Yep. As much as I’d like to think this kind of stupidity is limited to MAGA knuckledraggers, here’s an Ivy educated woman married to a liberal journalist. Stupid is an equal opportunity quality.
In a world full.of terrible phrases, i.hotta say that today’s winner for most obnoxious is “Wellness Worshiper.”
Who in this administration ISN'T bad at their job? That's pretty much a requirement for a position in the White House right now, no?
This reads like talking points from the Official Republican Playbook. Well done.
Absolutely one of the best theatre documentaries out there. I can't get enough of it.
It’s served sass because there are two kinds of people in the world: Type One style themselves theatre nerds yet have a very limited knowledge of what supposedly makes them nerds. Type Two know exactly why Gyllenhaal was invited to participate in this event.
Please please please tell me you’ve seen the original Pennebaker film.
I think, in no small part, it has to do with what positions are more conducive to raising a family. Women still bear more of the responsibility for household and childcare responsibilities (including bearing the children and the attendant physical challenges). I think many women choose fields that take this into…
If you’re unfamiliar with the Pennebaker documentary of the “Company” cast album, you’re missing 98% of the jokes in the Documentary Now parody. If you’re unfamiliar with the musical at all, you’re also missing the other 2%.
Company IS fun - can confirm, played Sarah about 10 years ago. Darling...do you want to stand...there?
