Not true. There’s more red-tape, but people with tenure can absolutely be dismissed, you just may have to defer to some process/consensus within the academic leadership structure—and there’s the real issue. The Old Boys’ Club is alive and well on many campuses.

This story highlights the fact that there is a large, unnamed gap between Gen X and the Millennials. No self-respecting Gen-Xer (an oxymoron, perhaps) would be a fan of the Backstreet Boys. And Millennials (I think) are too young to appreciate them.
