@KamWrex: I've been using my cell phone as my exclusive alarm clock and haven't had any more mishaps than when I used a dedicated alarm clock. I would actually say I have had less issues.

@sushidestroyer: I believe what he was getting at was that almost every other cell phone warranty does cover these things. They are usually sold through the carrier. Sometimes a small additional fee is needed for the replacement thought.
