Right on. A couple of years younger than you, but that is my recollection too,

I feel like the former might be in the band's Top 5 songs ever for me, almost certainly Top 10. Different strokes though!

Until the End of the World is probably my favorite song on the LP. The rhythm section parts are great & the Edge might never have been better (this whole album, really).

I think there's a very palpable "rinse and repeat" phase with U2 (pretty much everything in the 21st century) but I wouldn't go back to Achtung Baby. If anything, I'd say this album was something of a stylistic leap and maybe even one forward.

I've only got one left, but I'll put in a word for Great Lakes Ohio City Oatmeal Stout which is very well done at a generally agreeable price point. Sort of a winter session beer, if you will, it is extremely drinkable with some sneaky weight in there. Nice menagerie of flavors from a brewery that continually

Agreed. I concur with John Oliver's recent remarks that this can't be accepted as normal. The election itself was a damning slap in the face on its own but the aftermath is almost certainly going to be dreadful for many, many people.

Fight that sentiment. If there was ever a time to openly question things and remain active, this is it.

Gram Parsons' "GP" (solo debut & the album that effectively announced the arrival of Emmylou Harris).

I would assume that Scott Patterson's hat is there in order to attempt to prevent hair tousling, right?

Popovich's public response in the wake of the election was just stellar. Heartfelt & dripping with empathy but also extremely pointed.

Ha ha, no.

Christ, what an asshole..

"Now that we’ve picked ourselves up off of the collective floor.."

I read that reasoning too. I mean, he was in the running to be the Republican Presidential nominee not so long ago so I don't know if this would qualify as textbook self-awareness, barring some recent epiphany. If anything, even this boob might realize that it's probably a good idea to stay away from the White House
