Don't you see? That's the genius of it..

This.

Is it the Pumpkin Down Scotch Ale? I just mentioned that one in last week's thread and was rather impressed myself.

AUSTON MATTHEWS THREAD

Truly that is as good a reason as any!

Yes! That's my favorite offering of theirs actually. Great (almost tropical) aroma on that one.

The Specials. So, so good.

This will have a very regional bent this week - & probably not translate well - but I finished up my stash of the hometown Ithaca Brewing Company's Casca Zilla Monday night & that is one that I really like. A red IPA that is extremely drinkable, fairly interesting & at a decent price point. A solid B+ beer & I

I like that La's album (& extras). Pretty cool band.

Hey. Eric's Trip - nice.

Wow, International Submarine Band! That's a Merle Haggard cover too - great tune.

Bleach is fairly primitive & not really all that exceptional (imo) but About a Girl stands out like a beacon. In hindsight, it's practically indisputable evidence that Nirvana was going to be a band to be reckoned with in a big way.

I've been hearing bits of Search & Destroy within a car commercial lately. To borrow from Lou Reed, "things like that drive me out of my mind".

Bruce Springsteen - For You
Liz Phair - Nashville (Just talking about this one last week on here)
The Breeders - Drivin On 9
Mission of Burma - That's When I Reach For My Revolver
Richard Swift - Would You?
Pavement - AT&T
Rolling Stones - Dead Flowers
Women - Black Rice
Orange Juice - Falling and Laughing (Edwyn Collins'

You're opening for the freaking Buzzcocks?

My man!

The Stanford outcome really surprised me (& I say that as somebody who pretty much knew the previous Friday game in Montlake vs UW was effectively over a few plays in). HC David Shaw has kept Harbaugh's train rolling & it has been a strong & consistent program but now they're free falling (whither C-Mac?) coming into

I feel like that offense - effective as it can be in the right matchup - really puts a ceiling on that program. It also gives them something of a safer floor too though, I guess.

Nebraska and Washington are both in the Top 10 (not to mention The U was last week). What year is this?

Just finished Strangeways, Here We Come for probably the "millionth time ever" on Spotify. One of my favorites.
