Something I noticed back then, but never saw mentioned before:
Recasting Foggy and Karen would be a shame, both actors did a great job. But I would agree that we don’t need Elektra back; the show was always at its worst when dealing with anything to do with The Hand, although I did enjoy Scott Glenn as Stick.
I liked a lot of the Netflix Marvel stuff. Jessica Jones was great (though like three episodes too long, like all of them), Luke Cage was well cast, if often weirdly limp, Daredevil was often pretty darn good, Punisher was good, and Iron Fist should never have been made and everyone involved with it except Jessica…
His Uncle, Sledge, blew up a whole city!
I found some of her early songs annoying, but her last two (actually, last three, I think?) albums have been really good. Like, exceptionally good. It’s cool when you get to watch an artist grow up and they actually *do* grow up and get better. I’m a full-on fan now. Folklore and Evermore were my pandemic soundtrack.
Elvira is at least played by someone with comedy chops.
Now that was compelling TV!
Didn’t use to be, but it sure is the case now.
Apropos of nothing:
Leonardo can’t play a dad because there’s too strong a chance one of his former girlfriends would be cast as his kid.
Elvira has talent
Said this in another comment, but I personally think so. I don’t listen to those podcasts, but I know people who do, and I’m always shocked when I hear about how little reverence is paid to these victims and their families. Like imagine if a family member was murdered and years later the story of their homicide was on…
While you hopefully won’t have to talk about Cawthorn for much longer, a list of his travesties should always include his “bucket list” item of visiting Hitler’s Eagle’s Nest. Not enough sites/blogs still mention this.
Can we just stop even mentioning Cawthorn, now ... please?
America clamors for more of Mr. Bill vs Sluggo!
not before elvira teams up with dolly parton.
Just based on looks, I’m guessing that the new guy is probably closer in appearance to the regular participants of Republican Cocaine Orgy Club who now to keep their mouths shut about it. I’m sure he can expect an invitation once he’s sworn in.
I agree. Erica is not as cute as they think she is, and but one of the reasons I don’t like S3 as much as the first two. Hopper turning into a dick, the kids being separated for so long, the aesthetic inspirations moving away from the specificity of King and Spielberg to a more generic 80s reference machine, and the…
It’s not spoiling anything, her death is the entire premise of the show and revealed within the first few seconds of episode 1.
