Jessica Alba was a compelling lead in her debut series Dark Angel. Not sure she has had as ideal of a role since & it doesn’t sound like this is it, though I still like her. She was a fun villain in the ridiculously fun thriller Barely Lethal with Hailee Steinfeld and Sophie Turner. 

Probably the best season of the show

The new season of Doctor Who probably deserves to be included though it is a pretty good list & there aren’t shows that are glaringly undeserving to be on it that jump out at me

I will never forgive Elias Koteas for what he did to Bullet in season 3 of The Killing 

I hope the love triangle or whatever treats Jodie Comer better than The Last Duel did 

I would however like to rewatch the old syndicated Friday the 13th series 

Franka Potente was also great opposite her countrywoman Diane Kruger on The Bridge. Apparently they had to shut down production one day so they could watch the famous world cup soccer match where Germany beat Brazil

That would be scary, right?

They should make a movie based on the Friday the 13th video game

Well one thing I learned from Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt is it is fun to watch Dylan Gelula get traumatized 

And one of the best showcases for Franka Potente, one of the great down to earth and yet ethereal movie stars 

She had a small but memorable role as a wedding guest in Palm Springs. I remember Meredith Hagner saying filming it was a blast for her, she spent most of the few days she was on set drinking champagne with June Squibb

I believe I once saw a video clip of Max von Sydow saying that on the set Friedkin screened film of an actual exorcism for the cast and it was terrifying. I don’t know if that is actually true though

I’m sure he would prefer not to be remembered as Taylor Swift’s most generic boyfriend, just like William Howard Taft would have preferred not to be remembered for the White House bathtub thing. But such is life

The superior Ghost Light, one of the best classic Doctor Who episodes

So there are no superheroes or supernatural monsters in this at all? Not even a ghost, at least?

It would be cool if as predicted Devery Jacobs gets a nomination though it almost seems unfair to single her or anyone out from the cast of Reservation Dogs as they are all so good (Pauline Alexis as Willie Jack is probably my favorite)

Britt Lower was tremendous on this as “Helly.” She played Adam Scott’s alien-abducted wife on the one-season weirdo show Ghosted which her character was barely in, which to judge by how effective she is here was an awful decision
