Kristen Wiig was fine but I think Poehler, Rudolph, and especially Shannon were funnier and more versatile

To each their own, but I would have Molly Shannon, Amy Poehler, and Maya Rudolph all ahead of Kristen Wiig

The Harley Quinn episode where Catwoman joined Harley’s bachelorette party on Themyscira was better

To test her chemistry as Catwoman they should have made her fight with the actors they were considering as Batman

If I remember correctly Kinja Ernie died in the Spot.IM tragedy

Molly Shannon might not be my favorite SNL alum. But, she might be

I feel like this is just odd enough & a melding of genres that you don’t see that much that it has some interest

That is good to hear

So I guess if she does not know what her character’s story for Monarch s2 is yet, I should not expect to see that anytime soon

As long as Doctor Who remains British I don’t care too much if they increase the budget a bit but it certainly doesn’t really get at the heart of what the show actually is & should be

I would replace saying Courtney Love doesn’t give a fuck with saying, she very much gives a fuck about everyone thinking she is super edgy and real

Doctor Who with a budget seems somewhat antithetical to the shoestring effects that were part of the charm of the classic series. But have to change with the times I suppose

Historically many Who companions have only stayed around for one season, but it is starting to be rare enough that it would have been surprising if it had been the case for Millie Gibson. Also some of the recent one season companions have either been big time enough (Catherine Tate, Freema Agyeman) to only want to

Monarch started out a bit all over the place but it came together nicely I thought. I ended up really liking it & the characters.

Daisy Haggard is good. I never understand why Doctor Who cast her as James Corden’s love interest & then brought him back for a followup  to that episode but not her

I appreciate the warning

April/ Andy impresses me because it was not intended originally. Aubrey Plaza decided in s1, when those characters were often in scenes without anything clear to do, that April would have a crush on Andy because he was in a band, so she started flirting with him. The writers liked it & started working it into the

They all had great arcs

I though Eleanor & Chidi were fine but I preferred Chidi with Simone and Eleanor with Tahani

Ann, that noble, poetic land-mermaid
