“Those Old Scientists” was an utter triumph for both the Strange New Worlds and Lower Decks cast members involved 

The young actresses on Yellowjackets are really amazing, raw and real while also matching the performances of the more well known older counterparts 

That is my favorite. Apparently Braugher improvised “hot damn!” and the other actors almost blew the take because it was so funny

Deer Lady was astounding. I love how there is still some mystery to what is happening at the boarding school, since we are seeing it mostly through the eyes of young Deer Lady, but the general outlines of the inhuman abuse are clear even if you don’t want to believe it. I love that Deer Lady is the mystical avenging…

I’m not sure I consider The Wire a cop show though maybe I am splitting hairs, but I think it is more ambitious than that 

To me Homicide is the best ever TV cop show and it is not terribly close

I thought  Zahn McClarnon as Mathias on Longmire was the best Native American character I had ever seen & now he has had several performances that might be even better 

Pia Zadora is still alive (she doesn’t turn 70 until next year)

Jason Clarke as the beyond intense Jerry West in Winning Time was particularly amazing, but so were J0hn C Reilly and Solomon Hughes also I thought

I’m not sure he was *that* healthy but I don’t mean to detract from the lovely and heartfelt sentiments here 

Devery Jacobs was terrific on the final season of Reservation Dogs & a lot about her performance that season has really stuck with me, especially the episode where she reunites with the father she didn’t know about.

I thought Kate Box on Deadloch gave a really good performance, sort of the straight woman but just barely keeping it together

I personally prefer the performances of Sheryl Lee Ralph and Lisa Ann Walter on Abbott  Elementary as the wise--but not cynical--veteran teachers. Janelle James is very funny though and that is a sneaky layered part
