Hocus Pocus and Nightmare Before Christmas and Army of Darkness and Addams Family Values are all classics that seem timeless

D’Arcy Carden is so funny and charismatic that I could not take my eyes off her in this, even though her character was kind of a jerk 

Somewhat strangely to me Hillary Swank’s obnoxious characters is my least favorite aspect of it. The newsroom setting and the murdered indigenous women storyline are both compelling I think

This is turning into a gimmick commenter gag that I legitimately respect

I am hoping she gets more scenes with Melanie Lynskey in s2, they are both so great. Ricci and Juliette Lewis were incredible playing off each other in s1 but her with Lysnkey would be great too, less obviously volatile but more a battle of wills 

She worked with Vincent Gallo on Buffalo 66, apparently the first movie she made after she turned 18 and her parents didn’t have to be on the set with her. He might  have been even more of an asshole than would fit this incident though

Apart from anything else, Ted is the least interesting character on the show to me & has the least to do with why I enjoy it, so for me this is even more of a nonissue 

This sounds like a Lifetime network adaptation of a JG Ballard novel

And yet I don’t want to talk about her, or think about her undeserved fame & how much she represents the worst elements of celebrity culture. We are in a weird place when she is emerging as some kind of celebrity elder…
