I would think that they’d learn their lesson from the decapitating attack on the last one, don’t build your ships with so many compromising points of attack.

Even then though, the highlight of Academy Wesley was the satisfying absolute beatdown delivered by Picard.
Yep. Most people don’t give a shit why a holiday exists. Just whether or not they get the day off. Federal employees will be happy if this is an additional actual paid holiday and not just combining two other ones together to make way for the new one.
The early seasons of DS9 are outstanding and it has a much, much lower bad episode ratio than ANY Star Trek series. This nonsense that DS9 only got good “later” is ignorant and stunningly wrong. Season 2 is arguably the show’s best season.
Unfortunately, knowing the mindset of American business, the odds that anyone other than federal and bank employees actually get this holiday off are probably so close to zero that an electron microscope couldn’t find a gap between the two.
There is a simple reason why this vote passed overwhelmingly other the fact nobody objects to a day off. With the exception of a few totally racist white men, Republicans in Congress can now claim they are can’t be called racist when confronted with questions as to why they are demonizing CRT, the 1619 project, are…
I wish they would just go off somewhere and never bother us again.
I never knew of all those connections. What a phenomenal Groundlings cast that was.
One of my favorite bits from the live version of the show.
Mr. Deadly Weapon and Ms. Foxy Lady are a perfect match - two assholes behaving like assholes
machine gun kelly must know how to work his dick because christ, I don’t see any other possibilities in terms of redeeming qualities for that sideways asshole.
I actually didn’t like Beyond very much at all, but the destruction of the Enterprise scene was VERY well done.
I’ve pretty much been on board with everything from day one. The first episode of Lower Decks cracked me up, and I think the only episode I was ambivalent on was the girlfriend episode. That felt cringey to me. I do like how they wrapped it up, though.
Or the reason I always make that joke:
LOL I heard Andrew Luck’s name yesterday and thought the same thing. Could have been a great one but he chose his brain and body over a little fame and a few million bucks, and I applaud him for that. Dude’s only 31 and has a Stanford degree, so he also has more options than the average NFLer who can’t stop playing,…
They’ve done that already, people just ignore it.
I keep hoping Wesley Crusher will show up. ;)
I enjoy it, and I’m a Star Trek fan for practically all my life (watched my first episode at six and am still hooked 37 years later).
Lower Decks is tolerable.
Unpopular opinion, but I really liked the first season...up until the finale. I thought it had a fun and engaging cast of characters, some really interesting new ideas for the Star Trek universe (like all the post-Borg stuff) and was just a really great ride.
