I second that, regarding The Big Goodbye. I love a well-researched Hollywood book and that certainly was. (Each main person involved in Chinatown is profiled, with great insight into their careers at the time and subsequently. The book is by Sam Wasson and is definitely worth seeking out.)

I mistakenly went on vacation with people I thought were normal adults and were in fact Disney People.

I’ve asked around. No one gives a fuck what you think.

The fact that the creative team behind this absolute sloppy hot mess of a show is writing the movie drains me of any desire at all to watch it.

in its place is a mesmerizing portrait of a man out of his depth—a situation in which Nicholson rarely found himself, either on screen or off”

I’m always kind of surprised at how many of Nicholson’s iconic performances are kind of forgotten for lack of a better word. We all know him as this titan of the industry, but so many of his work is under-seen outside of film buffs. Five Easy Pieces comes to mind.

In my personal experience, adults who are extremely into Disney and regularly travel there without children are, without fail, fucking weirdos (present company excluded, of course).

Exactly.

Aya Cash is severely underrated even with the praise she is finally starting to get. Quite frankly all the cast from You’re the Worst are criminally underappreciated but her portrayal of depression/mental health issues as well as Desmin Borges’ portrayal of PTSD are fucking brilliant.

They’re big fans of cawlidge hawkey.

Good lord, I just love Susie Diamond.

Thanks for reminding me Pfeiffer didn’t win for Fabulous Baker Boys. Complete bloody travesty! Also good question for everyone, who is the best on screen depiction of Catwoman? I think Hathaway and Pfeiffer are really good, but there’s something about Julie Newmar from the 60s series that always stuck with me most.

I Like how Dave Thomas modelled the original Wendy’s restaurants after his own living room with Tiffany lamps, wood panelling, and bentwood chairs. I would sit in their just to feel like I lived in a house instead of an apartment. LOL!

I just re-watched The Fall and I was thinking, aging is working for you gurl!”

Adam Lambert should either get this biopic or the George Michael biopic. I don’t care which one.

So Ted is also a terrible friend. That tracks.

It’s actually now a popular theory that Ted blew Barney’s antics way out of proportion so his own wouldn’t look so bad in comparison.

I: Phantom Thread

It’s true, but that also is one fantastic cast.

I want the artwork for this on a Carl’s Jr. extra large soda cup yesterday!
