Was stoked when we got the Helm of Fate tease and Jim Corrigan. Had high hopes, but network TV really doesn’t suit these shows. Though the Swamp Thing show didn’t show dropped the ball too (I’m not sure why that show gets as much love as it does, aside from a few fun sequences I thought it was pretty terrible.)

Hm, I do think it’s enjoyable, but it’s kind of Ennis digging into his bag of childish tricks a bit. I do love, love, love, though:

“OI! WHY WON’T ME BASS FUCKIN’ WORK?!”
“Because you don’t know how to play it, Sid.”

Matt Ryan is 90% perfect. It’s maybe not his fault but Ryan has always struck me as a little too “clean” for John. He’s been written too heroic, not enough bastard. And his clothes aren’t rumpled and badly slept in enough. He does have the right features and body, he just... Yeah. He’s too much of a TV actor nice guy

“H-how’d you get him pregnant?”

Are you somehow implying that Constantine isnt amazing? We had 3 sherlocks going at the same time so why couldnt we have a more intoxicated magical sherlock? Also I love Matt Ryan as Constantine

Sure Rush was racist, and homophobic, and transphobic, and a liar, and hypocritical, and in general wrong about most things, but don’t forget he was also busted with a suitcase full of illegal viagra coming back from a known child sex trafficking hotspot.

Exactly - that’s like complaining a fire alarm is hurting your ears as you burn to death in your own house.

In John’s defense, the world was significantly less on fire when Last Week Tonight started.

Everybody always talks about his work with Rogers but I’m a much bigger fan of Hammerstein and Rammstein.

He regularly uses ketchup as a quick and easy flavoring blend, so I’m not surprised. Don’t let the accent and skills fool you, he’s just about the least fussy chef there is.

What’s not to love?

This show was so off the grid I had never heard of it before until reading this obituary. This is happening to me all the time.

I see “dill weed” and think of “dickweed”, a common insult on MST3K.

That’s so silly - why am I still laughing at that?

Leggie Hammer?

Update: Armie’s been disowned by his parents, Sledge and MC.

It was for Birbiglia’s comedy writer brother, Joe

Now playing

what about if she sang a Shary Bobbins ditty
