Holy. Crap. I don’t know anything about Dynasty Warriors but this is for sure on my list now. Exactly the kind of over the top action movie I need during the summer of no cinema (again, because it’s bad enough I’m a chef and around way too many people as it is).

Literally came here to say the same thing. I honestly didn’t realize Netflix still had it (well, until July). It’s definitely re-watchable, and I kinda categorize it with It Follows, and while they are clearly not anywhere near the same, it’s a slow buildup for both.

Wasn’t this an episode of Entourage?

Egg??

I really miss that column. I still go back and re-read the Elizabethtown one, mainly because of “manic pixie dream girl”. It’s a classic, and that the term is part of pop culture now says a hell of a lot.

hehe, “hard enough”.

Reminds me of the soft-core that Cinemax would show in the early ‘90s. Teenaged Rogue loved that stuff, since, you know, the internet wasn’t quite in full swing yet.

Or with a horse?

I’m fairly sure I watched her in Paper Towns when on the road for work and stuck in a shitty motel. She couldn’t act her way out of a closet. I’m also uncertain as to what “look” the runway is going for these days, but jeez she does nothing for me. Personal taste, blah blah blah. This mansion does a good job of

I have vague recollections of this movie, but had no idea how stacked the film was. I had no clue who George Roy Hill was (didn’t watch Butch Cassidy or The Sting until probably ‘92-’93), but everyone behind the scenes was golden.

“What kind of clown are you?”

I remember reading this article when it first came out, and it’s not just tragic and heartbreaking, it reminded me once again about how shitty the Soviet Union was.

There is no need to apologize. The Mouse needs to die.

I went through a Greek/Norse/etc mythology phase when I was 7-8, and in doing so I discovered the Grimm and Hans Christian Andersen fairy tales. I’d seen all the Disney versions of their stories, and 7 year old me was like, The Greeks have nothing on the pathos that reigns in 18-19th century fairy tales. The original

Hey, Sam. You either need to turn on your spellcheck or turn it off, because whichever you’re using doesn’t seem to be working out for you.

My cells are ready to explode, simply because every link has the word “cel” spelled correctly when it’s used. I saw the headline and immediately thought, Oh, this ought to be good.

You get your star for the mention of Rogue One, which is infinitely re-watchable. And is definitely not a kids movie, just like Empire. I wasn’t even two years old when the first Star Wars came out, but I have vague recollections of seeing Empire in the cinema (my parents, while highly religious, were pretty liberal

Which is what TLJ did but then the fanboys lost their fucking minds and Disney and Abrahams decided to appease them instead of trying to make a coherent movie. And that is how we got the one Star Wars movie I have only ever watched once and while I expect I may revisit it some day, I do not feel the need to any time

I think most of them get their stuff from the same suppliers.”

I love that your quote is exactly like Steve Martin’s in L.A. Story. Almost as good as when Chevy Chase is asking the maitre’d for “a good table this time”, and he deadpans “I can get you a table by the restrooms”. Chase: “Part of the new cruelty?”
